The Hercules project was commenced a few years ago in cooperation with the University of Parma. MBS wanted to develop a scraped-surface heat exchanger to supplement their existing wide product range of industrial and pharmaceutical tube heat exchangers. Since then, MBS has introduced the horizontal and vertical series of scraped heat exchangers. The Hercules is very suitable for applications in which the product is required to remain stuck to the walls. High-viscosity products or products with solid particles are never a problem for the Hercules series of heat exchangers. These include dairy products, sauces, chocolate, fruit, and confectionery (sweets), to name a few.
